Two league round matches were played on the fourth day of the ongoing 41st Indian Oil Servo Surjeet Hockey Tournament at the local Olympian Surjeet Hockey Stadium.

The first match in Pool B was between the teams of Bharat Petroleum, Mumbai and Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala. In the fourth minute of the game, Ajmer Singh of Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala opened the team’s account by scoring a field goal. In the 11th minute of the game, Sher Singh of Bharat Petroleum, Mumbai scored a field goal to level the score 1-1. In the 33rd minute of the game, Vishwas Garisha of Bharat Petroleum scored a field goal to make the score 2-1. In the 50th minute of the game, Ajmer Singh of Rail Coach Factory scored a field goal to level the score at 2-2 . As the match was tied, both teams got one point each.

The second match was played in Pool D between the Army XI and Indian Navy. The Army’s Sumitpal Singh scored a field goal in the 8th minute of the game to make the score 1-0 . Indian Navy’s Yogesh Singh and captain Pawan Rajbhar scored in the 23rd and 27th minutes to make the score 2-1. Indian Navy was leading 2-1 at half-time. Indian Navy’s Ajinka Yadav scored a goal in the 36th minute of the game to make the score 3-1. Ajinka Yadav of Indian Navy scored a goal again in the 50th minute in the fourth quarter of the game to make the score 4-1. Gaurav Bhaktani of the Army XI reduced the lead to 2-4 in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute, Cyril Lugin of the Army XI scored a penalty stroke to make the score 3-4.

After two league matches, Indian Navy has amassed a total of four points for with win and one draw. Indian Navy’s first match was a 1-1 draw with Punjab and Sindh Bank.
