On the fourth day of the strike called by the Federation of Arhtiya Associations of Punjab, former Union Minister Som Parkash visited the protest site. He assured the protesting arhtiyas that he would discuss their demands with the Union minister and make every effort to find a resolution to the problem.

The business in grain markets remained halted on the fourth day, with commission agents and clerks staging a sit-in protest at Gate No. 1 of the New Grain Market on Hoshiarpur Road from 10 am to 2 pm. The protesters raised slogans against both state and Central Government.

During the protest, the arhtiyas also submitted a memorandum to Som Parkash, urging prompt action on their demands.
