Delhi, UP in finals of blind T20 cricket tourney
Interesting matches were seen on the second day of the third Blind T20 three-day cricket tournament organised by the Disabled Welfare Society at the Railway Mandi HDCA cricket ground. Delhi and Uttar Pradesh defeated the Punjab team in two separate matches and entered the finals. Giving information in this regard, president of the society, Sandeep Sharma said that in the second day's match, Triple Ms MD Prof Manoj Kapoor, Sachdeva Stocks MD Paramjit Singh Sachdeva and SMO Dr Swati specially came and encouraged the players and appreciated the efforts of society.
Sharma said that the first match was played between the teams of Punjab and Delhi in which the Delhi team scored 290 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Punjab team which had a target of 291 runs, was all out for just 96 runs.
The second match was played between Punjab and Uttar Pradesh team. The Punjab team scored 126 runs. Uttar Pradesh team which came to the ground with a target of 127 runs, won the match in just 12 overs and registered a victory by 9 wickets. He informed that the final match will be played between Delhi and Uttar Pradesh team on Thursday.
