Congress Kapurthala MLA Rana Gurjeet Singh on Friday called upon the people to take a pledge to conserve energy in the form of electricity for a brighter and progressive future for upcoming generations.

He said this on the eve of National Energy Conservation Day, falling on Saturday. Sharing that each unit saved is 1.25 unit generated, Rana Gurjeet said the people should make energy consumption more ethical by making conscious choices. Lowering energy consumption would have a positive impact not only on individual finances but it will also help in nation-building.
