Hundreds of activists of the Congress, led by PPCC spokesperson Dr Navjot Dahia, today staged a dharna and organised a rally in front of the DSP office, Nakodar, to protest the alleged poor law and order situation in Punjab.

Condemning the alleged inefficient functioning of the Punjab Government, protesters urged the Governor to immediately dismiss it and hand over the responsibility of maintaining law and order to the Central agencies.

Dahia, while addressing the protesters, claimed the Bhagwant Mann-led government had failed to fulfil any of the promises made to the voters during the last Assembly elections. Later the protesters submitted a memorandum to Nakodar DSP Kulwinder Singh Virk .
