Cong list of 35 candidates out, BJP names 34
The Congress released a list of 35 candidates for the municipal corporation’s elections tonight.
Reliable sources told The Tribune that the Congress would contest MC elections in an alliance with the Bahujan Samaj Party and six candidates of the BSP and remaining nine of the Congress would be announced tomorrow.
In AAP, announcement of ticket seems to be a difficult job due to tug of war between two factions in the party. Despite efforts of MP Dr Raj Kumar Chabbewal, both factions are playing different tunes.
AAP halka incharge former minister Joginder Singh Maan, AAP spokesman Harji Maan was facing interal opposition from the other group which include Santosh Kumar Gogi, Improvement Trust Chairman Advocate Kashmir Singh Malhi, District Planning Board Chairperson Lalit Saklani and Ashok Bhatia.
Meanwhile, the BJP has released of its candidates for 34 seats out of total 50 wards just now. Deadlock continues on the seat of former Mayor Arun Khosla.
