Medical store owners today postponed their protest till Wednesday. They were protesting after two youths looted cash from Sethi Medical Hall here on Saturday evening.

Phagwara Chemists Association chairman VP Arora and members Krishan Vij, Rashpal, Mukesh Bansal and Tarun Aggarwal said after an assurance from city SHO Jatinder Kumar and Inspector Aman Kumar to trace the suspects involved in the looting incident at the chemist shop, they decided to suspend their protest till Wednesday.

Addressing protesting chemists, Arora said Vatasala Gupta, SSP, Kapurthala, would hold a meeting with representatives of various traders and industrialists associations in Phagwara.

Former Union Minister of State Som Parkash and AAP leader Joginder Singh Maan, who met protesters at Hargobind Nagar, also extended their support to the chemists association. Som Parkash also talked to senior cops regarding the incident.

Jaspreet Singh, DSP, Phagwara, told mediapersons that the police had shortlisted five criminals who were suspected to have looted cash from the chemist shop.
