Campus notes: Teachers dance their hearts out
Jalandhar: On the occasion of Teacher’s Day, students from the Innocent Hearts Group's five schools (Green Model Town, Loharan, Noorpur Road, Cantt.-Jandiala Road, and Kapurthala Road), Management College and Innocent Hearts College of Education expressed their gratitude and respect for their teachers. The theme 'My Mentor, My Guide' was celebrated with various activities. Students made beautiful cards to thank their teachers and presented their feelings through songs, poems and dance performances. The little ones from InnoKids put badges on their teachers and gave them cards with sweet messages written in their tiny hands. Deputy Director Cultural Affairs Sharmila Nakra delivered the welcome speech. Chairman Dr Anup Bowry congratulated the teachers on Teachers' Day.
Teachers showcase their skills
Jalandhar: Teacher’s day was celebrated at Police DAV Public School to mark the contribution of teachers in sculpting the students' lives. The celebration began with a speech by Arshnoor, who expressed her profound gratitude to all teachers. This was followed by dance performances in which a few teachers also joined in. Principal Dr Rashmi Vij in her speech stressed on the significant role played by teachers in sculpting citizens of tomorrow. The event was organised by Yashasvi House. The teachers showcased their superb artistic skills by participating in various competitions.
Dr Radhakrishnan remembered
Jalandhar: Ivy World School under the aegis of the Vasal Education expressed gratitude to the teachers on the occasion of Teacher's Day. The auditorium was beautifully embellished with flowers and festoons. Director Principal S Chauhan presided over the function and paid homage to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. Like every year, a ‘teeka ceremony’ was organised to welcome the teachers at the entrance. The Director Principal extolled the roles of teachers and acknowledged the sincere efforts they put in every day. Director Aditi Vasal said teachers play a major role in making their students responsible citizens of tomorrow.
Teachers a beacon of honesty
Jalandhar: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya organised a special programme to celebrate Teachers’ Day. The celebration was organised by Department of Student Welfare. Principal Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated all teachers. She also paid her tributes to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and described the teacher as a beacon of honesty, dedication, high conduct and hard work who always work for the strong foundation of her students. The students contributed immensely in making the event memorable by performing songs, group dance, solo dance, folk dance. Many teachers expressed their gratitude and were touched by the warmth shown by the students. The Principal lauded the efforts of Dr Madhumeet, Dean, Department of Student Welfare and all the members of the Student Council for organising the event.
Students make gratitude cards
Jalandhar: Teacher's Day was celebrated with gaiety at Seth Hukam Chand SD Public Senior Secondary School. Students made 'gratitude cards' for their teachers. A special assembly was conducted wherein students sang songs, delivered speech and recited poems showcasing their respect and love for their teachers. Principal Priyanka Sharma appreciated the talent of the students.
Teachers honoured for efforts
Jalandhar: Under the guidance of Chairperson Neena Mittal and Principal Dr Ravi Suta, Teacher’s Day was celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm at CJS Public School. The Principal and Prof RC Mahendru paid tributes to Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The Principal explained how a teacher holds hands, opens minds and touches hearts. She emphasised on how to bring out the best in students and celebrate individual existence. Teachers performed in various activities like singing, speech, poem and dance. Teachers were honoured for their efforts and dedication.
Teachers get gifts, cards
Jalandhar: Teacher's Day was celebrated with great pomp in The Nobel School by the students to express their respect towards the teachers. The students presented colourful programmes. Chairman CL Kochhar, Managing Director Kumar Shiv Kochhar and Officiating Principal Ravinder Kaur were present on the occasion. Kamaljot, a student of class XI, delivered the welcome speech. The students expressed their love and gratitude towards the teachers by singing songs, reciting poems, dancing and giving cards. The Chairman told the students about the life of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The programme ended by giving gifts to all the teachers by the management of the school and cutting the cake brought by the students.
Students become teachers
Jalandhar: Emm Aar International School, Adampur, celebrated Teacher’s Day in an extraordinary and empowering manner at the school auditorium 'Rama Mehal'. The students of Class XII took on the roles of educators, dressing up as teachers and conducting classes for their junior counterparts. The stage was then taken over by school coordinator Riddhi Dadhwal, along with Head Girl Aanchal.
