Jalandhar: St Soldier Group of Institutions organised a ‘Healthy Baby Show’, in which kindergarten students of 35 schools participated with full joy. The show was judged by the region’s most experienced Dr Ishaan Saddar. In this show Advait Saini from St. Soldier Elite school, Moti Bagh, Ladhewali, got the first position. Chesta from St. Soldier Silver Kunj got the second position, Aarav from St. Soldier Arjun Nagar got the third position.

Badminton Championship

Jalandhar: The Badminton Team of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya has won a gold medal in Inter-College Badminton Championship organised by Guru Nanak Dev University. This championship was held at Doaba College Jalandhar. Principal Prof Ajay Sareen congratulated the team members and coach. On this occasion, faculty members of Sports Department Dr. Navneet, Ramandeep and Pragati were also present.

National space day

Jalandhar: The NCC Committee of Lyallpur Khalsa College Technical Campus (LKCTC) successfully organised a poster-making competition at DR Jain School, Jalandhar Cantt. The competition, held for students from classes 6th to 11th, was centred around the theme ‘National Space Day’. The event was coordinated by Harbinder Kaur (Coordinator) and Kuljeet Kaur (Co-Coordinator), with the support of five NCC cadets from LKCTC. This initiative served as a platform to foster creativity and awareness about space exploration among young students, while also strengthening the collaboration between LKCTC and local educational institutions.

Annual Sports Meet

Jalandhar: At CJS Public School, the Annual Sports Meet was held for Classes pre-nursery-II. The sports meet was initiated with the release of balloons after the warm floral welcome of the School Chairperson Neena Mittal. Principal Rajni Sharma welcomed the guests and the parents. The students participated in the ball race, paste the sense organs, plate race, ring in elephant trunk, hurdle race and jelly fish. Parents enjoyed balloon burst race, tie shoe laces, noodles eating race, making garlands, fold the yoga mat, obstacles race. Principal Rajni Sharma congratulated the winners by giving them medals and certificates. Co-ordinator Ainamjyot Kaur presented the vote of thanks.

Mime Competition

Jalandhar: A team from State Public School, Jalandhar Cantt bagged the second position in the Sahodaya Inter School Mime Competition. President of group Dr Narotam Singh, Vice-President Dr. Gagandeep Kaur and Principal Savina Bahl motivated others to aim for such a level.

Selection in the Army

Jalandhar: Two students of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar have joined the Army as Agniveer. Principal Dr Jaspal Singh while felicitating them in his office said both students, Prince and Sayiam, are cadets of the NCC Army Wing of the college and are students of Diploma in Computer Science. Expressing his happiness on the appointment of both students, NCC in charge Dr (Lt) Karanbir Singh congratulated them and said that five NCC cadets of Lyallpur Khalsa College have joined the Indian Army in the last two years.

Salad-Making Competition

Jalandhar: Shiv Jyoti Public School students — Garisha and Parnita of Class XI participated in salad-making competition under KMV-Charisma 2024 and stood second in the event. They were guided by their teacher Suman Khanna. Principal Parveen Saili appreciated the initiative taken and congratulated the winning team. The first prize was awarded by Lovely from class X, followed by second prize by Khushkaran from class X and the third prize was awarded to Manpreet Kumari from class IX and followed by three consolation prizes were also given Lucky, Yash and Damini.
