Jalandhar: Mayor World School, in collaboration with Phulkari-Women of Jalandhar, hosted a chhabeel event on a sweltering summer day. The students of Grade XI, under the guidance of the school management and educators, and the members of Phulkari, took the initiative to prepare and distribute a refreshing sweet drink to the public, including pedestrians, shopkeepers and vendors. The refreshment was meticulously prepared using RO water, and hygienically crafted with a blend of water, milk, sugar and rose syrup. The students actively participated in this act of serving chhabeel to the public.

Student brings laurels

A student of St Soldier Institute of Hotel Management, Kamini Sharma, has been selected as a Food and Beverage Manager at ITC Group Company Limited in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. Her journey in the world of hospitality commenced with St Soldier Institute of Hotel Management, where she pursued her BSc in hotel management and later completed her Masters from the same institute. She began her career at an executive position with the Taj Palace and Resorts. Subsequently, she moved to the Marriotts, where she continued to thrive, leading dynamic teams across various outlets. Later on, she embraced new challenges at Mahindra Company Ltd and brought her expertise to a business-oriented property, showcasing her adaptability and strategic acumen in a different operational setting.

GNDU B.Ed results

Students of Ramgarhia College of Education, Phagwara, shone in the first semester B.Ed results announced by Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar. Nidhi achieved an impressive 8 SGPA, earning the first position in the college. Close behind, Harpreet Kaur secured the second position with 7.90 SGPA. The third position was jointly held by Panna Rani and Priyanka Sood, each scoring a 7.80 SGPA. The overall performance of the college has been good. Manpreet Kaur Bhogal, Chairperson, Ramgarhia Educational Council, congratulated Principal Dr Surinder Jit Kaur, the teachers, students and their supportive parents for this remarkable achievement. She emphasised that since its inception in 1956, the college has been setting milestones in the field of education.
