Campus notes: Annual day celebration
Jalandhar: The pre-primary section of Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, organised their annual day “Anubhuti...nature on a canvas”. The chief guest of the occasion was Dr Sumandeep Kaur, Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar. The function was also graced by the BOG member Nirmal Mahajan, Dr Sucharita, Director, Apeejay Education, Dr Neerja Dhingra, Principal, Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar, and other dignitries. Principal Sangeeta Nistandra shared the annual report of the school highlighting the academic and co-scholastic achievements of students. The cultural programme included “A celestial marvel” (A thoughtful reminder of responsibility to conserve mother Earth) , “Believer’ (A special treat in motion of an unrelenting spirit of determination)”, “The world with zero hunger” (Come be the change you wish to see in the world), “The untamed magic of the sea” (Discover the world of wonder and awe), “Dont worry be happy” , “Comedy Dance” (Mankind’s greatest blessing laughter) and Bhangra (pride of Punjab).
Apecial assembly for students
Mayor World School organised a special assembly for students of Grade III on the theme “The sound of music”. The theme was based on the original story of the 1965 film “The sound of music”. Through this programme, students were encouraged to express their emotions and creativity through music in its various forms. Maj (Dr) Erwin Kaur, SDM, and RTO, Kapurthala, graced the occasion as the chief guest. The assembly commenced with the lighting of the lamp by Vice-Chairperson Neerza Mayor, accompanied by senior dignitaries, symbolising the pursuit of knowledge and enlightenment. This was followed by welcome address delivered by Principal Divya Keni, setting the tone for the day’s proceedings. Mayorites gave a soulful musical performance and presented the entire story through a dance- drama. The key highlights of the drama were “My favourite things”, “Do-Re-Me”, “The lonely goatherd” and “So long farewell”. The performers appeared captivating in their vibrant and colourful costumes, radiating charm and grace that added a lively and effervescent spirit to the event.
Excellence Awards ceremony
The CT Group organised the Excellence Awards 3.0 ceremony, celebrating individuals who made contributions across diverse fields, including health, fitness, science, arts, literature and public service. Among the guests of honour were Deepak Bali, Advisor, Art, Culture and Languages, Government of Delhi; Swati Tiwana, SDM, Samana,; and Lt Commander Priya Kaith, Mrs India Legacy 2024. The award recipients included digital creators Peetoo Singh and Jalandhar Wale, international boxer Shvinder Kaur, nutritionist Dr Shivalika Khanna, motivational speaker Simerjeet Singh, dentist Dr Jaswinder Singh, ADCP Tejbir Singh, Inspector Rajwinder Kaur, international Sqay champion Kajal Biswas, blood donor Sachin Arora and designer Sidharth K Kakkar among many others. Charanjit Singh, Chairman, CT Group, shared his thoughts on the occasion. He said, “Excellence is not just about individual achievements, but the positive ripple effects they create in society. Tonight, we honour those who inspire us to do more and give more”. Also present at the event were Managing Director Dr Manbir Singh, Joint Managing Director Tanika Channi, Group Director Dr Abhishek Tripathi, Executive Director Dr Nitin Tandon, Campus Director Dr Dhami, Director of Student Welfare Davinder Singh and Dean Dr Arjan Singh.
