Mental health is one of the biggest issues today. Due to stress, a large number of people, especially the youth, are falling prey to mental illness and awareness is a must to prevent and treat them. Hoshiarpur Civil Surgeon Dr Pawan Kumar Shagotra said this while releasing an awareness poster related to mental health at the Civil Surgeon’s Office here today.

Giving more information, the Civil Surgeon said: “This year’s theme for World Mental Health Day is ‘Mental Health at Work’.”

“In today’s busy life, everyone is under mental stress for one reason or the other. Good mental health is important for our overall health and well-being. Globally, one in eight people is living with adverse mental health conditions. Creative thinking is the biggest weapon to fight mental illnesses,” the Civil Surgeon said.
