2 gangsters held for murdering kabaddi player Sandeep Singh

Phagwara, February 8

The Nakodar Sadar police have arrested two gangsters on the charge of murdering a kabaddi player, Sandeep Singh.

SHO Jai Pal said the suspects had been identified as Harjit Harry of Mourr Kalan village in Bathinda district and Ravinder, alias Hairy, of Gopal Pur village in Patiala district.

In his complaint to the police, Angrej Singh, a resident of Nangal Ambian village, said his brother Sandeep Singh, a kabaddi player, came to Mallian Kalan village with his team to participate in a tournament on March 14, 2022.

He said around 6 pm, five car-borne armed assailants fired at his brother. He succumbed to his injuries at a clinic. The suspects also opened fire while fleeing, injuring two persons.
