The drive saw extensive nakabandi and vehicle checks by SHOs and Traffic/ERS teams at key locations such as Pathankot Chowk, BSF Chowk, BMC Chowk and Model Town Market. These checkpoints were chosen to cover critical areas with high traffic volumes.

“The e-challaning drive is part of the police’s broader strategy to maintain smooth traffic flow and secure roads for all residents. By taking strict action against traffic violators, the Commissionerate Police aims to instill a sense of discipline among drivers and reduce traffic-related incidents”, said ACP Traffic Aatish Bhatia.

He said during this drive, a significant number of vehicles were inspected, resulting in the issuance of 15 e-challans to individuals found violating traffic rules.
