Jagat Prakash Nadda, others participate in campaign
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda, along with senior party leaders, participated in sanitation drives across Delhi as part of the Swachhata Diwas celebration, concluding the party’s ‘seva pakhwada’ initiative. The cleanliness drives, also referred to as ‘shramdaan’, were organised in all 250 municipal wards of the city, marking the final day of the campaign that began on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17.
Nadda took part in the shramdaan organised by the New Delhi District BJP at Lodhi Colony. He was joined by BJP national general secretary Sunil Bansal, Delhi BJP president Virendra SaChandigarheva, MP Bansuri Swaraj, and other senior leaders and party workers.
Delhi BJP president Virendra SaChandigarheva echoed these sentiments, stating, “While we dedicate today’s cleanliness campaign to Mahatma Gandhi, it is not a one-time effort. This is a continuous mission, and we have organized over 1,100 shramdaan programs across Delhi, including in municipal wards, the Delhi Cantonment, and other areas.”
Nadda and other BJP leaders, including Virendra SaChandigarheva and MP Bansuri Swaraj, visited the Khadi Gramodyog store in Connaught Place, where they purchased Khadi clothes. “Khadi is not just a fabric; it represents our heritage and the livelihood of millions of artisans across India,” Nadda said.
BJP leaders and MPs, including Radha Mohan Das Agarwal, Pawan Rana, and Manoj Tiwari, also led shramdaan efforts at various locations across Delhi, cleaning public spaces and offering floral tributes to statues of national icons.
