A two-day transformative EXPA cadet training workshop was conducted at NCC Training Academy, Nagrota, the Army said on Sunday.

He said the event, held under the aegis of NCC Directorate of JK&L, was conducted by a team of 10 expert trainers led by Kamal Sunder Raj.

“Their mission was to equip cadets with crucial life skills and leadership tools needed to excel in today’s fast-paced world. Over the course of two days, cadets engaged in interactive sessions on communication and listening skills, leadership, team building, time management, critical thinking, public speaking and more,” the spokesperson said in the statement.

It said that one of the key highlights of the workshop was the focus on gender sensitivity and creative thinking, empowering cadets with a progressive mind-set.

“Cadets were divided into smaller groups to encourage collaboration and active participation, fostering a spirit of teamwork. The holistic approach covered not only leadership but also vital skills like self-analysis and decision-making,” the statement said.

The EXPA workshop was conducted in line with the directives of the Director General of NCC, marking a crucial step in shaping the cadets’ future. The cadets, through this immersive experience, have gained both knowledge and confidence needed to become tomorrow’s successful leaders, the statement said.

“This enriching journey is expected to leave a lasting impact, equipping them with the skills necessary to face challenges and embrace opportunities in both their personal and professional lives in the future,” it said.
