Rahul Gandhi must first answer his ally: Ravneet Bittu
Union Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu on Wednesday hit back at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for asking Prime Minister Narendra Modi to clarify the farm law remarks of BJP MP Kangana Ranaut and said Rahul should first focus on pacifying his ally National Conference.
Reacting to NC vice-president Omar Abdullah’s statement today advising Rahul to campaign in Jammu instead of Kashmir, Bittu said: “Rahul should first answer his ally, which rejected him today.”
Bittu, on the sidelines of a FICCI event in the capital, said troubles in NC-Congress alliance had begun even before the conclusion of the J&K elections.
“First see what Omar has said. Today, Omar Abdullah pointed out that Gandhi hasn’t campaigned in the seats allocated to Congress in Jammu, but has instead come to Kashmir to enjoy the cool breeze in the Valley, where the Congress doesn’t even have candidates. Omar has rejected Rahul,” Bittu said when asked about his comments on Rahul’s dare to PM Narendra Modi to clarify BJP MP Kangana Ranaut’s statements on farm laws. Kangana had said the farm laws should be reintroduced, but apologised for her remarks today.
