Outreach programme on Mission Life, Poshan Abhiyaan held at Leh
The Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, on Saturday organised a day-long Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme in Leh. The programme was organised through its field offices in Anantnag and Leh.
A statement said the event focused on creating awareness about Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), Poshan Abhiyaan (National Nutrition Mission), and Swachhta Hi Seva campaigns of the Central government.
Resource persons from various government departments discussed key issues, including sustainable development, eradicating malnutrition, and adopting a clean and healthy lifestyle for a better future, the statement said.
Field Publicity Officer, CBC Anantnag, Shahid Mohammad Lone, emphasised the importance of a healthy lifestyle for sustainable development and urged participants to adopt practices that contribute to environmental conservation and personal well-being.
According to the statement, Naseer Ahmad Rather, Field Publicity Officer, CBC Srinagar, highlighted the focus of CBC on ground-level outreach, especially in remote areas, to raise awareness about various government initiatives. He said similar outreach programmes were conducted across the Union Territory of Ladakh over the past two weeks, with the next event scheduled for Kargil from October 8 to 10.
An open quiz competition on the programme themes was held for participants, with winners receiving mementos and certificates, the statement said.
