Modi has nothing else to say in J&K except dynastic politics: Omar Abdullah
Former Chief Minister and National Conference vice-president Omar Abdullah on Thursday said the Prime Minister keeps talking about dynastic politics as he had nothing else to sell to the people of J&K.
“What else can we expect from the BJP? It cannot talk about anything because it does not have anything to show from the past five years,” Omar told reporters in Budgam district of Central Kashmir.
Omar said: “I don’t know what the Prime Minister said in Srinagar on Thursday. I am sure that he would have spoken about the three families.”
“But he (PM) would not have spoken about how the past five years were wasted in Jammu and Kashmir, rising terror incidents in Jammu, resentment in people and, particularly, about the votes cast by people in south Kashmir in favour of the NC, which no one can deny,” he said.
Omar asked “when was the last time Prime Minister Modi gave an answer to a question in Parliament?”
“I have never seen him answering a question in Parliament. We are those people who give answers to all questions after winning the elections. We do not go hiding,” he said.
To a question about the Pakistan Defence Minister’s remarks that they were on the same page as of the NC-Congress alliance on the issue of restoration of Article 370, Omar said Pakistan had nothing to do with the J&K elections.
