Make Jammu permanent capital of J&K: Shiv Sena
Shiv Sena (UBT) on Wednesday demanded that Jammu be made the permanent capital of Jammu and Kashmir.
Shiv Sena J&K chief Manish Sahni said Jammu had has always been ignored in the history of the UT, and till date, no one from the Jammu division had been able to reach the post of Chief Minister. “The BJP, which won a historic victory in 2014 in the name of discrimination, despite having a share in the government and the post of Deputy Chief Minister with the party, the interests of Jammu were ignored,” Sahni said.
He said along with this, the focus of the former and current Central governments also remained Kashmir-centric.
“In the year 2022, the Delimitation Commission also did not do justice to Jammu. Jammu, which was entitled to 50 assembly seats, had to be satisfied with only 43 seats. At the same time, it is also facing the brunt of the discontinuation of the Darbar move tradition since 2021,” he alleged.
