LPG cylinders, washing powder, utensils recovered from terror hideout in Jammu’s Rajouri district

In what has come as a surprise to the security forces in Rajouri district, a hideout was busted, in which LPG cylinders, washing powder, wheat flour and utensils among ammunition were seized.

Security forces on Tuesday evening unearthed an underground hideout of terrorists established in dense forests of Sagrawat village in the Darhal police station area of Rajouri district.

Based on specific information, a team of police from Darhal, Special Operations Group, Army’s Rashtriya Rifles and CRPF launched a joint cordon and search operation in areas of Sagrawat forest.

During this operation, the security forces succeeded to zero-in over a underground hideout and established within dense forest cover.

The hideout established underground was covered with soil from above to hide it.

Police informed that during search inside it, security forces recovered four LPG cylinders, six empty AK rifle magazines, one pistol magazine with thirteen bullets, one Insas rifle magazine with 19 bullets,  one communication set, one solar light with plate, one pair of hand gloves, wheat flour, refined wheat flour, dry fruits, some eatables, five-litre capacity cooker, two-litre capacity cooker, one wok, 30 cells, two blankets, three bags, one phiran, one water can of 40-litre capacity, three power banks, one data cable, one adaptor, a pair of shoes, a wire cutter, one screwdriver, one tiffin, a body warmer garment set, six hand grips, two torches, one pack of washing powder, one pack of daliya, a few milk powder packets and other eatables.

It is believed that LPG cylinders and other items might have been provided to the ultras by overground workers (OGWs).
