Dropped by Pakistani drone, IED seized

An improvised explosive device (IED) was found near a village situated along the international border in Kathua of Jammu division after BSF personnel successfully repelled a Pakistan’s drone on Thursday morning.
The BSF issued a statement, mentioning that at about 12:45 am, the alert BSF troops observed drone movement in depth area of Manihari village under the jurisdiction of the Rajbagh police station in Hiranagar of Kathua and engaged the drone by fire.
Subsequently, the area was searched and an IED was seized that had been dropped by the drone, the statement mentioned. It said the troops were on high alert along the international border. The IED, sources said, was apparently meant to be delivered to some overground worker. Officials said an investigation was being conducted to know about the person who was supposed to take it.
