The Doda police have successfully recovered 49 lost mobile phones valued at approximately Rs 7.53 lakh from various states after complaints were filed across district police stations. This recovery effort was led by the Cyber Crime Investigation Unit (CCIU) of Doda, which traced the phones to states such as Rajasthan, Punjab, Delhi, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh, an official spokesperson said.

Doda SSP Mohd Aslam handed over the recovered phones to their rightful owners at the district police office in Doda. He urged the public to safeguard their mobile devices, emphasising that phones contain sensitive personal data and can be misused if lost.

Upon receiving their phones, the owners expressed gratitude for the police’s determined efforts in retrieving their devices. The SSP Doda reminded citizens to exercise caution with their mobile phones to prevent any potential misuse.
