The crime branch has filed chargesheet against 13 former senior officials including the then nine assistant directors, two chief account officers and two tehsil supply officers in major ration scam case of Jammu rural in which ration weighing 4,39,503.21 quintals worth Rs 19.20 crore was misappropriated during the year 2002, 2003, 2005, and 2006.

The FIR was lodged with Crime Branch by the department of CA&PD in pursuance of CAG report in which audit about the discrepancy was raised.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
