Chandigarh, July 11

A horrendous mix-up between former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan and his brother Yusuf Pathan during the ongoing World Championship of Legends (WCL) led to a heated on-field exchange with the former losing his cool.

The brothers came at loggerheads over a miscommunication that led to Irfan’s run out during a match between India Champions and South Africa Champions at WCL.

The incident occurred on the first ball of the 19th over when Irfan played a lofted shot off Dale Steyn’s delivery.

The mix-up happened when Yusuf initially agreed for a second run between the wickets but decided to stop later.

This led to Irfan yelling at his brother as he did not hold back from expressing his displeasure over Yusuf.

However after the game, Irfan was seen making an adorable patch-up gesture with elder brother Yusuf.

Irfan also took to X and posted a video, tagging Yusuf and captioning it ‘all brothers can relate to this…’

The video shows the heated exchange between the two and a calm Irfan kissing his elder brother’s forehead and hugging him after the match.

Indian openers failed to give their team a good start in the run chase and their top five were back in the dugout with just 77 runs on the board in 11.3 overs.

Yusuf Pathan (54* off 44) and Irfan Pathan (35 off 21) shared a vital stand but could not help their side cross the finish line as the asking rate kept getting higher. India lost the game by 54 runs eventually.
