Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has unveiled a new library facility designed to enhance access for students, researchers, and faculty members. The University Information Resource Center (UIRC) has introduced the MyLOFT platform, allowing users to access library resources from their smartphones with ease.

To utilise this service, users must download the MyLOFT app, which can accommodate over 5,000 simultaneous users. The app offers instant access to information about library books, making it easier for students and researchers to gather information from anywhere in the country.

A training session was held last Monday to familiarise users with the app’s features. The session aimed to guide both faculty and students on account creation, browser extension installation, and navigating online library resources and services.

According to university officials, only a limited number of institutions in India currently offer this app. The MyLOFT platform allows library users to create a digital inventory with customisable tags and filters, streamlining the navigation process.

This initiative eliminates the need for physical presence in the library.
