During his visit to the mountain state, the Minister will be briefed about the activities of Army's 33 Corps that is tasked to secure the boundary along China.

India has bolstered its stance along the boundary especially along the Chumbi valley that is in China. The 2017 military standoff between India and China at the Doklam plateau had happened at the southern edge of the Chumbi valley.
