Rahul Gandhi enjoys sugarcane juice, interacts with women after rally in Maharashtra
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi had a glass of sugarcane juice at a street-side stall and interacted with local women following a campaign rally in a city in central Maharashtra on Thursday.
Gandhi was in the region ahead of the state assembly elections scheduled for November 20. After addressing the rally, he visited the Central Bus Stand before heading to the airport.
At the bus stand, Gandhi spoke to several women about the welfare schemes introduced by the ruling Mahayuti government in Maharashtra. He also discussed the plans and promises of the Opposition's Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance if they come to power.
The Congress leader treated himself and his security personnel to fresh sugarcane juice from a nearby vendor, a popular refreshment at bus stands across the state.
According to onlookers, Gandhi paid Rs 200 for ten glasses of the juice.
