Prime minister Narendra Modi on Thursday dialled injured BJP MPs Pratap Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput and inquired about their health after the injuries in Parliament on Thursday.

Both are admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital after allegedly sustaining injuries following an incident they say involved leader of opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi.

Sarangi alleged Gandhi pushed Rajput during counter protests by NDA and opposition on BR Ambedkar issue and he fell.

Rajput is a three term BJP Lok Sabha MP from Farukhabad in Uttar Pradesh.

PMO sources said the Prime Minister expressed concern about the health of MPs injured during counter protests on BR Ambedkar in Parliament.

Gandhi earlier alleged he was jostled by BJP MPs and prevented from entering Parliament, a charge Union Minister Pralhad Joshi denied.

“Aisa kabhi hota hai kya? Rahul Gandhi jhooth bol rahe hain,” said Joshi.
