Oppn parties covering up for criminals: BJP

New Delhi, August 13

The BJP on Tuesday alleged opposition INDIA bloc parties were covering up for criminal elements. Referring to the West Bengal horror where a 31-year-old resident doctor was raped and murdered and the principal quickly shifted to another hospital, BJP’s Sudhanshu Trivedi questioned the silence of Congress leaders.

Accusing the TMC-led Bengal Government of dilly-dallying on a CBI probe, Trivedi said, “If the West Bengal Government wanted to conduct an honest investigation into the matter, why was it waiting to transfer the case to the CBI?” He said Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi says, “Ladki Hoon, Lad Sakti Hoon” but remains silent on incidents from Ayodhya, Kannauj to Kolkata. — TNS
