The NCERT on Monday announced a 20 per cent cut in the prices of its textbook for Classes IX-XII. This will come into effect from the upcoming academic year.
“This is the first time that price of textbooks has been reduced significantly,” NCERT Director Dinesh Prasad Saklani said during the ‘Bhumi Pujan’ for the construction of an auditorium at NCERT Headquarters.
The NCERT also signed an MoU with Flipkart to ensure seamless availability of NCERT publications across the country. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated a Google Learning Centre. The Minister also released NISTHA Integrated Teacher Training Modules.
