New Delhi, July 26

Demanding the scrapping of Agnipath scheme, Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge said PM Narendra Modi’s claim regarding the implementation of the Agnipath scheme at the behest of the Army was a “blatant lie” and an “unforgivable insult” to the forces.

Kharge pointed out that former Army Chief General MM Naravane had called the scheme a “bolt out of the blue” for the Navy and Air Force. Taking to X, Kharge said according to news reports, General (retd) MM Naravane had written a book, which was stalled from being published by the Modi government.
