Parliamentary Affairs minister Kiren Rijiju on Friday said it was a curse for the country to have someone like Rahul Gandhi, who hasn’t read the Constitution nor understands its spirit, as the Lok Sabha LoP.

“It’s a curse for the country that someone like Rahul has become the LoP. He has neither read the Constitution nor understands its spirit. It’s an insult for such a person to even speak the word Constitution,” Rijiju said.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
