Congress suffering from ideological bankruptcy: Nadda on ‘terrorist' jibe
BJP president and Health Minister JP Nadda on Sunday attacked Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge for maligning the ruling party while suffering from ideological bankruptcy due to repeated reversals in elections.
laughable remarks
Not only are Kharge’s comments laughable, they also give a clear picture of the party’s character. The people of the country know everything and it now seems that time has come to evaluate the allegations levelled on the Congress of being supportive of Naxals, terrorists and anti-India forces. Nadda said while the BJP under PM Modi’s leadership had been focusing on schemes for the welfare of the poor, the Congress due to its inability to match the ruling party, was busy abusing the PM and maligning the nation in the process.
Kharge calling the BJP a party which supports terrorists showed the Congress’ frustration due to its continuous political reversals at the hustings, said Nadda. “Not only are Kharge’s comments laughable, they also give a clear picture of the party’s character. The people of the country know everything and it now seems that time has come to evaluate the allegations levelled on the Congress of being supportive of Naxals, terrorists and anti-India forces,” he said, attacking the Congress chief further.
The BJP leader urged Kharge to indulge in self-introspection after the defeat in Haryana Assembly poll, though he added that it was understandable that the entire Congress was facing an ideological downfall owing to its efforts of trying to defend a “failed product”, while indirectly referring to Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi.
Nadda alleged from opposing the abrogation of Article 370 from Kashmir to seeking support for Afzal Guru, to “crying” over the death of terrorists killed in the Batla House encounter and questioning the surgical strikes, the Congress’ list of indiscretions is long enough to hold a week-long discourse over it.
