Earlier today, the party also released its second list of 23 candidates. It features three women candidates and only one sitting MLA Kailash Gorantyal from the Jalna Assembly seat.

The Congress has fielded Dr Rajesh Tukaram Manvatkar from the Bhusawal (SC) constituency. The party has fielded Anuja S Kedar, wife of former minister and five-term MLA Sunil C Kedar, from Savner in Nagpur district. Sunil was convicted in a graft case and disqualified. AAP not to contest elections

New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will not contest the Assembly elections in Maharashtra. Instead, party chief Arvind Kejriwal will campaign for the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition, AAP leader Sanjay Singh said on Saturday. The MVA coalition comprises of Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT), Sharad Pawar’s NCP-SP and the Congress. “Kejriwal will campaign for the MVA candidates. AAP will not contest the elections in Maharashtra,” Singh, who is a Rajya Sabha MP, said on X.

BJP’s 2nd list of 22 candidates out; two MLAs dropped

Mumbai: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday released its second list of 22 candidates for the Maharashtra Assembly elections, retaining six sitting MLAs and dropping two.

The saffron party, a member of the ruling Mahayuti coalition along with the Shiv Sena and the NCP, has declared candidates for 121 constituencies so far.
