Congress leader’s hand in Delhi drug haul dangerous: Amit Shah
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday attacked the Congress over the alleged involvement of its leader in a drug haul in the national capital and described the development as “dangerous and shameful”.
The BJP has alleged Tushar Goyal, 40, arrested by the Delhi Police as the prime receiver and distributor of a large drug consignment worth Rs 5,600 crore, was a former Congress leader.
The Congress, however, said Goyal was appointed as Delhi Youth Congress RTI cell chief on March 24, 2022, but was removed in October same year.
“Show us the digital evidence of Goyal’s termination letter. We also want to ask the Congress whether this drug money was meant to fund Haryana elections,” BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said, alleging that the “C” of the Congress which meant “corruption and confusion” now also meant “cocaine”.
