An Indian Coast Guard (ICG) ship successfully rescued seven Indian fishermen on Sunday in the Arabian Sea. These fishermen had been apprehended by a Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) ship near the India-Pakistan Maritime Boundary in the Arabian Sea.

The Coast Guard said at approximately 3.30 PM on Sunday, a distress call was received from an Indian fishing boat. The boat was near the no-fishing zone. The caller from the boat narrated how another Indian fishing boat, Kal Bhairav, had been intercepted by a PMSA vessel, and seven Indian crew members had been apprehended. In response, ICG Ship immediately proceeded to the location.

The PMSA ship tried to retreat, but the ICG Ship intercepted the PMSA ship and persuaded the Ship’s Captain to relieve Indian fishermen. The ICG ship was able to retrieve the seven fishermen safely, who were all found to be in stable medical condition.
