The BJP today filed a complaint with National Commission for Minorities chairman Iqbal Singh Lalpura over the recent remarks made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi about Sikhs during his visit to the US.
Jagdeep Singh Kohli, the co-in-charge of Delhi BJP Sikh Cell, former co-convenor Jaspreet Singh Mata and member Gurbhej Singh, filed the complaint on Thursday. The leaders called Gandhi’s statements “deeply hurtful” and “insulting to the Sikh religion and culture”, and demanded prompt action.
Meanwhile, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Thursday launched a veiled attack on Rahul for his remarks. He said nothing could be more despicable than becoming part of the enemies of the nation.
