BJP controls EC, CBI: Rahul Gandhi in Jharkhand

Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi on Saturday alleged that the BJP “controls the Election Commission, CBI, ED, Income Tax Department and the bureaucracy”.

“The BJP also controls funds and institutions, but we possess honesty. The Congress fought the Lok Sabha elections without money,” he said while addressing the Samvidhan Samman Sammelan in Ranchi. He claimed that the Constitution was “under attack” by the BJP and needed to be protected. “The Constitution is under constant attack from all sides, including from PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, and it needs to be protected,” he alleged.

This was Rahul’s first visit to Jharkhand after the Assembly poll schedule was announced in the state by the EC.
