Incomplete school building
The construction work of the building of Government Primary Central School, Banala, in Fanauti panchayat has been stalled for the last six months due to the lack of funds. The roof of the school building was laid six months ago but the construction work of doors, windows and other finishing tasks of the building has been stopped. Teachers and parents are worried about the winter season and 33 children are studying in the school from pre-primary to fifth standard. Currently, the classes are going on in one room and this is affecting the studies of the children. This problem has been going on for the last three years. There is anguishin the school management committee and parents due to the incomplete work of the building.

Kids' future at stake
The building of the High School at Chansari in Kharal valley opposite Kullu town, which was damaged 16 months ago in the disaster, has not been repaired yet. The school has 109 students in five classes from sixth to tenth. Their future is at stake due to the indifference of the government and the Education Department. The school is running in a private building having five rooms, which are congested. The owner of the building has asked the authorities to vacate the building. Due to the school running in a private building, students are migrating to Government Senior Secondary School, Kharal. If the system is not changed in the next academic session, the number of children migrating from Chansari school will increase. The Education Department must take immediate note of the matter.
