In major reshuffle, J&K Govt transfers 22 JKAS officers

As many as 22 Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services (JKAS) officers were transferred in a late evening order on Monday, including Director Tourism Vishesh Paul Mahajan who was last week transferred on the position.

Mahajan was posted as the new Transport Commissioner of J&K in the recent transfer order replacing Bhawani Rakwal who will wait for adjustment. Mehmood Ahmed Shah, Director, Handloom and Handicraft, Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as Managing Director, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited.

Nisar Ahmad Wani, awaiting orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department, has been posted as Member, J&K Special Tribunal (Srinagar Bench); Ghulam Nabi ltoo, Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission, has been transferred and posted as Director, School Education, Kashmir.

Gulzar Ahmad Dar, Special Secretary to the Government, Housing and Urban Development Department, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary to the Government, School Education Department.

Other major transfers included that of Mussarat-ul-Islam, Managing Director, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited, who has been transferred and posted as Director, Handloom and Handicraft, Kashmir, while Vikas Gupta, Special Secretary to the Government, Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, has been transferred and posted as Director, Tourism, Jammu.

Kanta Devi, Special Secretary to the Government, School Education Department, has been transferred and posted as Regional Director, Survey and Land Records (ex-officio Settlement Officer), Jammu, the order said.

Syed Qamar Sajad, Additional District Development Commissioner, Baramulla, has been transferred and posted as Managing Director, J&K Cable Car Corporation, while Khurshid Ahmad Shah, Special Secretary to the Government, Jal Shakti Department, has been transferred and posted as Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission.

Anju Gupta, Regional Director, Survey and Land Records (ex-officio Settlement Officer), Jammu, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary to the Government, Housing and Urban Development Department.

Some other officers are also included in the list of transfers.
