In Brief: Two nabbed for killing man
New Delhi: A man was allegedly stabbed to death and another got injured after a quarrel in North East Delhi’s Seelampur area, the police said on Tuesday. Two people — Asif (21) and a juvenile — were arrested in connection with the incident on October 16. They said on October 13, they along with another person, Talib, were going towards Shastri Park. The juvenile asked time from Kishor, who was sitting on a footpath, but he abused him. Following this, a quarrel broke out between them and Talib stabbed Kishor with a knife. When Lallan (40) tried to catch them, Talib stabbed him in the back. Kishor died during treatment.
Neighbour stabs woman
New Delhi: A 30-year-old woman was stabbed a dozen times allegedly by her neighbour in West Delhi’s Tilak Nagar area on Monday. According to the woman’s husband, the accused, Ravinder Singh, alias Goldy (36), insisted the victim on befriending him after which she started avoiding him. This angered Ravinder. Around 11.30 am, he entered her house and stabbed her multiple times. The accused has been arrested.
No water supply on Friday
New Delhi: There will be no water supply in parts of the Capital for 12 hours on Friday due to maintenance work, the Delhi Jal Board on Tuesday said. The affected areas include Inder Puri, Maya Puri, Toda Pur village, Dasghara, C-Block JJR, Naraina village, Naraina Vihar, Krishi Kunj, Mansarovar Garden, Ramesh Nagar, MES and the command area of Kirti Nagar Underground Reservoir, HMP Colony, according to a statement.
