Gurugram: The court of Additional Session Judge Ashwani Kumar sentenced a 29-year-old man to life imprisonment for raping a two-year-old girl in the Manesar area four years ago. The court has also imposed Rs 40,000 fine on him. The police said in 2020, a local resident had filed a complaint at the Manesar women police station that a man living in his neighbourhood lured his two-year-old daughter on some pretext and then raped her. The police said following the complaint, an FIR was registered under the POCSO Act at the Manesar women police station and the suspect was arrested.

4 held for theft of radio unit

Gurugram: The police arrested four for stealing remote radio units (RRU) from mobile towers. A RRU, cable connector and other tools were recovered from their possession. The police said, on October 9, a complaint was received at the Manesar police station that on the night of October 8, some unknown person had stolen the Airtel RRU installed in Indus Tower from Sector 1 in Manesar. The police said the Sector 17 crime unit arrested four suspects in connection with stolen RRU from Gurugram on October 13.

Man arrested with camel meat

Gurugram: The police arrested a man who was transporting camel meat in a pickup jeep and recovered around 4 quintal of meat from him. An FIR was registered against the suspect on Wednesday. The police said the cow protection team had received a tip a jeep was carrying camel meat to be sold in Delhi and other areas. The team with the police set up a checkpoint at Subhash Chowk and stopped the jeep. The suspect was identified as Shahid of Ghasera village in Nuh district. The police said the suspect’s vehicle was also seized.
