The police have seized 19 pistols along with several magazines in the last four days.

SSP Saumya Mishra said 11 (.32 bore) pistols and seven magazines were seized from two unidentified bike-borne persons at a checkpost near the Talwandi Bhai chowk. However, the suspects fled from the spot, leaving the bike.

A hunt had been launched to nab the suspects, she said.

Earlier on November 12, CIA personnel had arrested five persons and recovered two countrymade pistols (.315 bore and .30 bore) and eight rounds from them.

On November 10, the CIA had arrested two persons and recovered six pistols, besides 13 rounds from them.
