Immigration agents booked
Chandigarh: Three immigration consultants have been booked for cheating. According to the police, complainant Anand Singh, an employee of VFS Global, Delhi, reported that Kamal Kumar, who ran a travel agency from Sector 40, Anas Khan, the owner of Bishop Immigration, Sector 40, and Jaspreet Kaur of Veracity Overseas, Sector 34, allegedly committed forgery. A case has been registered at the Economic Offence Wing police station and an investigation initiated into it.
Decomposed body found
Mohali: A highly decomposed body has been found in the forest area of Lakhnaur village, opposite the court complex here. The police said the body was around one month old and not identified yet. The police have sent it for forensic examination. It is yet to be ascertained whether the deceased was male or female. A forensic team also collected some objects from near the body for examination.
Laptops, phones stolen from office
Chandigarh: Two laptops and two mobile phones were stolen from an office in Sector 44. A case has been registered on a complaint of Joginder Pal, at the Sector 34 police station.
