Following the directions of Deputy Commissioner Dhirendra Khadgata, a demolition drive was carried out in three unauthorised colonies being developed on 20.15 acres of land in Sunaria Kala village in Rohtak district.

During the drive, a team of officials from the District Town Planner (DTP) office demolished an under-construction house, three damp proof courses (DPCs) and networks of roads.

Rohtak Tehsildar Rajesh Kumar was present on the occasion as Duty Magistrate to maintain law and order. The police force was also present during the demolition operation to deal with any untoward incident.

Rohtak District Town Planner (DTP) Sumandeep has appealed to the residents of the district to not invest their hard-earned money in unauthorised colonies.

"Such demolition drives will be carried out from time to time," she said, adding that residents could come to the DTP office on any working day and enquire about the legal status of the colonies before investing their hard-earned money.
