The International Hockey Federation (IHF) has appointed Gurinder Singh Sangha as umpire manager for the Junior Asia Cup. The event will be held in Oman from November 26 to December 4.

Information in this regard was given in a letter issued by the International Hockey Federation. Sangha had earlier served as umpire manager in the Asian Games, Olympic Qualifiers and Asia Cup.

Hockey Punjab president Nitan Kohli and general secretary Amrik Singh Puar congratulated Sangha, hailing his appointment as a matter of pride for Punjab.
