ICC World Cup: India bowl out New Zealand for 273; Shami takes fifer
Dharamsala, October 22
New Zealand were five down after Kuldeep Yadav took his second wicket during the World Cup match here on Sunday. Earlier, Yadav got the wicket of New Zealand’s skipper Tom Latham in the 37th over.
Meanwhile, Mohammed Shami took his second wicket with Rachin Ravindra departing for 75 in the 34th over.
Earlier, Shami struck with the first ball of his World Cup in the 9th over by taking the wicket of Will Young. India got their first wicket in the fourth over after Mohammed Siraj struck New Zealand’s Devon Conway for a duck.
India skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bowl against New Zealand.
India have made two changes, bringing in Suryakumar Yadav and Mohammed Shami in place of Hardik Pandya, who sustained an ankle injury in the match against Bangladesh earlier this week, and Shardul Thakur.
New Zealand are unchanged.
