At a time when city residents were celebrating Durga Ashtami festival, a married woman was brutally killed by her husband in the posh Greenfield area located on the Majitha road here today. Ritu’s only fault was that she had given birth to a handicapped boy, who did not have one hand, alleged her family.

Following complaint by her family, the police booked her husband Vishnu Mahajan, father Avinash Mahajan and brother Dinesh Mahajan on charges of murder.

Vinod Kumar, SHO, Sadar police station, said Vishnu and Avinash were arrested while efforts were on to nab Dinesh who was absconding.
