Hooda spun lies, insulted farmers, Dalits, says CM
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini took a swipe at former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda, alleging that the Congress government had nurtured corruption and done injustice to farmers and Dalits.
Addressing a public meeting in Bahbalpur village of the Barwala Assembly segment here on Tuesday, the CM alleged that development activities had come to a halt in Haryana during Hooda’s regime. “The Hooda-led government has ruined Haryana as it has always promoted corruption in every sphere of governance. The people of Haryana have rejected the Congress,” he said.
“The Congress has done nothing for the state except for spinning lies, and nurturing corruption. The public has now understood that the Congress cannot be trusted,” he claimed, adding that the BJP would return to power for the third time in a row in Haryana. The CM said the election manifesto of Congress was a bundle of lies. The Congress won the elections in Himachal Pradesh on false promises, but even after two years, it has not fulfilled any of these promises. “Now the people of Himachal are feeling deceived,” he alleged.
Saini said the BJP would fulfill every promise made in the Sankalp Patra (manifesto). “The development will flow in every district of Haryana. We will focus on providing employment to the youth, respect to women and prosperity to the farmers,” he said. Saini said the BJP government would set up an Industrial Model Township in every district in future, which would provide employment to more than 50,000 youths.
